Legal Counsel – Real Estate
Hybrid working –
1-2 days a week in London, West End office or Birmingham office (with occasional travel to London)
The Company
Integrum Renewable Energy Limited (“Integrum”) is a rapidly scaling developer of large-scale solar PV and battery storage projects with a focus on engineering, specialising in all aspects of the project lifecycle, from project origination and feasibility assessment to financing, delivery and maintenance. Integrum have recently entered an exciting milestone and secured private equity funding to continue its expansion within the UK renewable energy market.
Integrum have a growing team with over 25 years expertise in development and delivery of renewable energy projects across different technologies and at all stages of the lifecycle both in the UK and overseas.
As part of its expansion plans, Integrum are looking to hire an additional legal counsel to join Integrum’s friendly and collaborative team to support the teams Managing Legal Counsel.
The Role
This is an enviable opportunity for an ambitious, entrepreneurial Real Estate solicitor to play a key role supporting the business and being an integral part of the development /legal team. You will have the opportunity to expand their skills and embrace an in-house culture within this exciting and growing renewable energy sector. In addition to real estate work, there will also be an opportunity for you to be involved in dealing with other aspects of legal work.
Reporting into a highly regarded and supportive senior renewables / real estate solicitor you will drive forward and provide legal support to the development team and assist with all aspects of real estate work including due diligence, heads of terms, drafting and negotiating a variety of documents as well as supporting on M&A activity. You will also provide legal advice and opinion on mitigation measures to overcome real estate issues.
About you
You will be a (England & Wales) qualified solicitor with at least 3+ years PQE either working in-house or in private practice. It is essential you can demonstrate good experience of real estate development work within an established team. Experience in renewable energy is highly desirable but not essential for the right candidate. You will have a commercial approach, be pragmatic and a solutions-oriented solicitor. You will be self-motivated, driven and work well as part of a team. You will appreciate the challenges of working for a fast paced, rapidly scaling business together with the ambition to develop your career alongside the opportunities this role and business will provide.
This is a hybrid role with a good level of flexibility however, you will be expected to travel to Integrum’s London office at least 1-2 times a week.
